Our fitness & weight loss holidays in Marbella are based almost right on the beach and we take full advantage of our beautiful surroundings to hold outdoor training sessions in and around the local area.
Marbella boasts miles of sandy beaches and a beautiful promenade. The promenade is the ideal location for a range of activities, allowing us to jog or cycle the 10 km from Marbella to Puerto Banus, passing some of Marbella’s iconic hotels and luxurious real estate on the way. The golden sands of the beach are perfect for energetic group workouts and the warm waters of the Mediterranean offer an alternative to pool-based training.
With all this on our doorstep, you can enjoy the fresh air while you work out and have fun in the sun!
Getting away from the coast and heading into the countryside, there are various locations within 10 minutes of the resort that offer ideal conditions for high-energy activities such as cycling, hiking and running.
Istan, 15km from Marbella is a great spot for outdoor training sessions. This rural area of stunning natural beauty boasts woods, hiking trails and an enormous man-made lake.
Benahavis is another great location. It is a traditional Andalucian village nestled in the mountains that can only be accessed by an impressive winding road. Popular with local cycling enthusiasts, the road offers a scenic climb that will challenge any rider and a descent that will delight everyone!
Getting to Marbella

Senator Marbella Spa Hotel
Your home during your fitness and weight loss holiday in Spain is the lovely 4-star Senator Marbella Spa Hotel. All rooms are doubles or twins with private en-suite facilities. There is no compulsory sharing; you only share with a friend or partner.
The hotel is set close to the beach, but only a short distance from the centre of the resort. The rooms are all equipped with free internet-ADSL access, satellite TV, safety deposit boxes, independent air conditioning and all have a balcony or terrace with table and chairs.
All meals are taken in the hotel restaurant, where the chefs produce a specially-prepared, “fad-free” menu, tailored to support your weight-loss and fitness goals. The menu uses locally-produced fresh foods and is based on the “Mediterranean Diet” style of eating, as recommended by all professional dieticians.
Our indoor training sessions are done at New Concept Training, a stylish and modern training centre with state-of-the-art facilities, located in the beautiful Monte Paraiso Country Club. Fully-equipped with the latest machines and the amazing “Kinesis” training system, it’s perfect for those fat-burning and toning resistance training sessions.
Every Friday we use the facilites at Mike’s gym Marbella, a purpose-built training facility with amazing views of the beautiful coastline and breathtaking mountains. The gym consists of a state of the art certified Cross Fit Facility, two boxing rings, a swimming pool, an outdoor spinning area and a fantastic obstacle course that is over 3 km long!

Jan has a degree in Business and Marketing, but his true passions are sports and fitness. A keen competitor from a young age, he has played football for the second team of one of Belgium’s top clubs. Jan has also taken part in various half-and full Ironman triathlon competitions.

Juanma Gómez: Instructor
Juanma is a personal trainer and an ex-professional indoor football player, who brings his passion for sports and more than 15 years of experience to the team.
Juanma specializes in running, circuit and functional training and leads classes on the beach.
Ivana Salvatto: Pilates Instructor / Stretching Coach
Ivana is a personal trainer, massage therapist and qualified instructor in both machine and floor-based Pilates, with over 15 years experience is the health industry.
Ivana will lead the Pilates and stretching classes during your fitness & weight-loss holiday.
Lori Sjollema – Yoga Instructor & Massage Therapist
Lori is a former professional dancer who has worked for many years in the fitness industry. She is a certified instructor of Jivamukti Yoga and has studied many other forms including Ashtanga, Anusara and Iyengar.
Lori´s classes are based on “flow”, with the emphasis on posture and alignment. She holds regular Yoga classes in Marbella and instructs and participates in retreats and workshops throughout Europe and India.
Lori is also a qualified Thai and Swedish massage therapist.
Dr. Vanessa Garcia Ohnimus: Nutrition Coach
Dr. Vanessa Garcia qualified as a doctor in nearby Malaga. She also holds a degree in Aesthetic Medicine, Psychology and Nutrition.
