Yoga & Fitness Holidays in Italy – Location & Travel
Our yoga & fitness holidays in Italy are based at the the Agriturismo La Forra, on the doorstep of the famous Chianti region.
Agriturismo La Forra is in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, not far from the village of Montegonzi. It sits on a hilltop between the world-famous towns of Siena, Arrezo and Florence, in the heart of a remote and spectacular area for outdoor activities. It is the perfect environment for a yoga and fitness holiday.
The local train station, Montevarchi-Terranuova, is less than an hour from Florence airport, 1-2 hours from Pisa, Perugia or Bologna and 1-3 hours from Rome. The holiday price includes a shuttle service between the train station and the resort. Transfers to and from the airports can be arranged at extra cost.
There are cheap flights to Florence, Pisa, Perugia, Bologna and Rome from many European cities and trains to Montevarchi-Terranuova from throughout Italy. Please check www.skyscanner.net for flights and www.trenitalia.com for trains.

Agriturismo La Forra
Your home during your yoga and fitness holiday in Italy is the lovely rural hotel Agriturismo La Forra. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool (usually available May-October) and a tennis court. The breathtaking views of the hills of Chianti and the Valdarno valley, and the total, relaxing silence of this part of “Real Tuscany” will leave you with truly unforgettable memories of this world-famous region.
The “Classic” rooms at La Forra are elegant and comfortable double/twin rooms, furnished in traditional Tuscan style, but with all the comforts of a 4-star Resort. The rooms are equipped with private en-suite facilities, as well as air conditioning, heating, Satellite TV with DVD & USB, and a hairdryer.
There is no compulsory sharing on this yoga & fitness holiday in Italy. You usually only share with a friend or partner. However, if you wish, we may be able to arrange a share with another guest travelling on the same dates.
All meals are taken in the hotel restaurant, where the chefs produce a specially-prepared, “fad-free” menu, tailored to support your weight management and fitness goals. The menu uses locally-produced fresh foods and is based on the “Mediterranean Diet” style of eating, as recommended by all professional dieticians.

- Individual transfers to and from Montevarchi-Terranuova train station. (Transfers to and from other locations can be arranged.)
- Accommodation in a private en-suite “Classic” room at Agriturismo La Forra – Absolutely no sharing unless you want to!
- 3 Healthy meals per day at the hotel restaurant and an energy filled, afternoon snack.
- All linens and towels, including gym/pool towels.

Our yoga & fitness holidays in Italy are fantastic value. The “All Inclusive” programme can be booked for any duration of 3 nights or more – right up to 4 weeks – and you can arrive and depart on any day.
Our yoga & fitness holidays in Italy include all accommodation, meals, transport and activities, from lunchtime on your day of arrival, through to breakfast on the day of your departure, including transfers to and from Montevarchi-Terranuova train station.
The following examples of prices are based on 1 person in a private room and 2 people travelling together and sharing a twin or double room:

Alexandra Sturgess: Founder, Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer
Alix is a native of Australia who studied in India and Costa Rica to become a Yoga Teacher. She is also a personal trainer.
For Alix, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle have always been important. She has lived in many countries and experienced many different cultures and is now a great advocate of the Mediterranean diet and lifestyle. Her philosophy is not about calorie counting, deprivation or slavish commitment, instead Alix aims to demonstrate that consistency and enjoyment are the keys to a healthy life.
Paolo Puccini: Personal Trainer
Paolo was born in São Paulo, Brazil, but has been living in Italy since the year 2000. He speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish, as well as Italian, loves to travel and has lived and worked in several countries.
Paolo is extremely passionate about fitness, healthy living and Italian food. He is a certified fitness trainer and is totally committed to understanding clients´needs and goals in order to help to ensure that adopting a healthier lifestyle is always interesting, rewarding, sustainable and fun.
Francesca Blechner: Personal Trainer
Fran is a personal trainer and sports massage therapist with a wealth of experience and knowledge. She has worked for over 12 years in some of London’s leading health clubs.
Fran was trained for boxing by former world champion David Haye and was certified as a Master Kettlebell instructor by TV’s former ‘Biggest Loser’ trainer, the late Angie Dowds.
As a personal trainer, Fran has a substantial client list including celebrities, former sporting professionals, TV presenters, business executives, new mums & many more.
Filippo Dainelli: Personal Trainer
Filippo was born in Montevarchi, Tuscany, and has a lifelong passion for fitness and sport in general. He graduated with a degree in Sports Science from Florence University and since 1995 has worked as a Fitness and Bodybuilding instructor and has also become a certified instructor/trainer in Fit Box, Body Pump, Legs Bums and Tums, body toning techniques, Aqua Gym and a Callisthenics. Filippo is also a conditioning coach for the local football team, Virtus Leona.
